Summer Reading Incoming 5th-8th Graders 2022-2023

Incoming 5th-8th Graders 2022-2023

SUMMER READS

“Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body.”

Time spent with text is what increases reading proficiency. This summer, challenge yourself to read widely. Re-read your favorite book. Read an e-book, read an article, read to your younger sibling or another family member. Not enjoying a book? Put it down and grab another!

Below is a list of suggested teen favorites, in all different genres, and all different Lexile ranges. Check them out! Feel free to pick a book of your choice. It doesn’t have to be from the list below.

Students are required to read at least 4 books throughout the summer. Parents need to sign off that you read the books. Students will receive a “Get out of homework free pass” for each book read!

Complete this form for each of the four books that you read throughout the summer.

Happy Reading!
