Congratulations Dr. Kimberly Sarfde

July 29, 2024

Dear Families and Staff,

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Kimberly Sarfde will be joining SAU 15 as the new Assistant Superintendent. Kimberly brings a wealth of experience in public school administration, having previously served as the Assistant Superintendent for Nashua Public Schools and as the K-12 Curriculum Coordinator for the Newfound Area School District. Kimberly began her career in 1997 as a student teacher at the high school level in Haverhill, MA. She then directed and taught a Spanish program for Grades 5-8. In 2010, she transitioned to become a middle school ELA and ESL teacher in Haverhill. In 2014, she relocated to Lawrence, MA, where she served as an ESL coach and Dean of Curriculum and Instruction for three years before relocating to New Hampshire.

Kimberly is a dedicated advocate for all students and has received the prestigious Sontag Prize in Urban Education multiple times for her outstanding instruction and leadership. Her focus for the last decade has been to improve literacy outcomes for all students. She has worked at the national and state levels to ensure literacy instruction is grounded in scientific evidence, firmly believing that all students deserve the right to read.

In addition to her experience, Kimberly holds a Master of Arts in Professional Writing and a Doctor of Education degree in K-12 Leadership. She is currently pursuing an MBA to further enhance her finance knowledge and expertise.

Residing in New Hampshire with her husband of 26 years, Kimberly is the proud parent of four children. Two grown children work in law enforcement, one is a sophomore in college, and the youngest will be a junior in high school. The Sarfde family shares a love for Disney, enjoys cheering for the Patriots, and cherishes their time at Newfound Lake. They also have two boxer dogs and a tiny Pomapoo who rules the house.

Kimberly states, “I am deeply honored to serve SAU 15. The district has shown remarkable dedication to student achievement, and I am thrilled at the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from all the dedicated educators, students, and families.” Kimberly will assume her new position on August l, 2024.

Sincerely
