AVS Update 10/9/20

Title: Contact Tracing Update

October 9, 2020

Dear Auburn Village School Parents/Guardians,

I have submitted contact tracing information to the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services and they have notified all close contacts. If you have not heard from AVS or NHDHHS, you are not considered to be a close contact.

Students will be allowed to return to school on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, with the exception of fifth grade students and specific individuals who were in close contact with the confirmed case. If you were not notified, your child was not in close contact.

Due to the number of staff members needing to be quarantined and the lack of substitute teachers, students in fifth grade will continue remote learning Tuesday October 13, 2020 until their return to in person learning on Friday October 16, 2020. If your child is in grades K-4 or 6-8, Tuesday is school as usual. Please remember to submit your health assessment through Pick-Up Patrol before school on Tuesday morning. Remote students do not have to complete a health assessment, but it is a good idea to take your temperature on a daily basis.

Curbside Lunch Information:
We will be serving curbside lunch and cold breakfast options Tuesday, October 13, to students who are remote. These meals must be preordered (Monday 10/12) by 8pm. This option will include the hot lunch choice of the day and a cold breakfast. Be sure to add in your email the name and grade(s) of your student(s).

To Pick Up: Email your order to: Sarah Belanger sbelanger@sau15.net

  • Pick Up Directions: Pickup is located at the back cafeteria door; around the back, next to the cafeteria.  Stop at the door and wait for your order. The pick up time is from 11:20 to 11:50am.
  • If you have any questions, please contact Sarah Belanger, the Director of Nutrition Services, at sbelanger@sau15.net.

We appreciate your patience and flexibility during this time. If you have any further questions, please contact me at (603) 483-2769 or lcollins@sau15.net.

Sincerely,

Dr. Lori Collins
