Contact Tracing Update 11/21/20

November 21, 2020

Dear Auburn Village School Parents/Guardians,

I have submitted contact tracing information to the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services  so they can complete their contact tracing process. An AVS staff member has notified all close contacts. If you have not heard from AVS, you are not considered to be a close contact.

Students will be allowed to return to school on Monday, November 23, 2020, with the exception of several classrooms and specific individuals who were in close contact with the confirmed case. Seventh grade students remain in remote learning until Tuesday, November 24.

Unless your child has been notified as a close contact, students in these classrooms are NOT in quarantine. The positive individual was in these classrooms greater than six feet away from the students, but due to the dynamics of students’ movement, we want to be extra cautious in reducing the possible spread of the virus. If your child is not in these classes or 7th grade, Monday is school as usual. Please remember to submit your health assessment through Pick-Up Patrol before school on Monday morning. Remote students should still complete a health assessment, and it is a good idea to take your temperature on a daily basis.

Out of an abundance of caution, we are switching several classrooms to remote learning to reduce the possibility of further exposure. Students in the following classrooms will continue remote learning Monday, November 23, 2020 until their return to in person learning on Wednesday, December 2, 2020. These classrooms are:

  • Mrs. Boucher

  • Mrs. McDonald

  • Mrs. McDaniel

Students in the following classrooms will continue remote learning Monday, November 23, 2020 until their return to in person learning on Thursday, December 3, 2020.These classrooms are:

  • Mrs. Moore

  • Mrs. Podbelski

  • Ms. Nusbaum

If you or your child are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, such as a fever, chills, respiratory illness, aches or change in taste and smell, please stay home and away from others and get a COVID-19 PCR test. You may also choose to seek out testing from your healthcare provider or at one of the testing sites located throughout the state which can be found at: (https://www.dhhs.nh.gov/dphs/cdcs/covid19/documents/covid-testing-options.pdf).
