The Destination Imagination Eastern Regional competition was held yesterday at Memorial High School in Manchester, NH. Auburn Village was represented by 3 teams. Our youngest team, the Ocean Squad, was a non-competitive team of first and second graders. Their costumes, pop-up book and stage presence wowed the audience. Our elementary team of third graders built a balsa wood structure which held 160 pounds! This team, the Flaming Falcons, placed 6th out of 11 teams. Our middle school team, Dr. High Five, entertained the audience with a story about hiccups. Their humor and set design was quite impressive. This team took second place and will progress to the DI state finals on March 30th at Nashua High School South. The Dr. High Five team will be competing with the winning teams from the other three DI regional meets for a chance to represent New Hampshire at Global Finals being held in Kansas City!
