Masks in School Extended to 9/30

Dear Auburn Village School Families,

I would like to take this opportunity to update you on the mask requirement which was implemented this past Monday. Since my last communication, the 7-day PCR/AntiGen positivity rate for the past seven days has been 10.8% which is above the 10% threshold which is considered substantial transmission by the NH Department of Health and Human Services. The number of active cases have decreased from 26 cases to 23 cases and the number of currently active cases over the previous 14 days has decreased slightly from 39 to 36 cases. There have also been 6 new positive cases over the past week.

Since the 7-day PCR/AntiGen positivity rate average is 10.8% and the number of new cases over the past 14 days and new active cases have decreased slightly, in addition to having six new positive cases at AVS this past week, we will continue with the mask requirement at Auburn Village School for the week of September 27th-30th. I will continue to monitor these data points and will provide another update at the end of next week.

Thank you for your support and understanding.

Sincerely,

William Rearick
Superintendent of Schools
